This bar is such a cool place. I’ve always heard about Wellman‘s bar and Grill but unfortunately I had never been there. I wish I had gone sooner. It’s such a good atmosphere. The drinks are also pretty sweet. I can’t wait to go back.
We were in the area for an evening and decided to try Wellman's for dinner. We were seated out on the patio in a corner spot that felt like a garden. It was really pretty! We ordered the Tuna Nachos that were fresh and full of flavor. We also had the jalapeno popper Rangoon. The Rangoon were definitely fresh and had plenty of cream cheese and bacon. We just didn't care for the corn in them so probably wouldn't order them again. For drinks, I had the fruit smash which was delish, and my hubby had a lemonade drink (I can't remember the name!) which he loved. I know if we lived in the area we'd be frequent visitors as this is definitely our kind of place!
We grew up going to Wellmans on Ingersoll and were wanting to try a new Steak Night, so we tried Wellmans Pub & Rooftop for their Monday night $12.99 Steak Night before hitting up bowling and lazer tag at Spare Time. We were not disappointed. You get a Steak, loaded potato, and garlic bread for a reasonable price. The restaurant was very clean (maybe a little too clean for a true Wellmans Ingersoll vibe haha). The food was good and for a reasonable price. The service was first rate. Parking was easy. I enjoyed catching part of the Hawkeyes game on their giant screens, and my wife and I like the music videos on the tv's (like they have at Shirley's and other past and present Baldwin locations). Wellmans for the win!!!
I love this place! They have a little bit of everything on the menu. But I cannot get enough of the Tuna Poke Bowl. Sooooooo good! I order it every time I am there. I have seen other foods my friends order and they all look scrumptious but I can’t stray from my favorite!
Came in from out of town to visit friends and this is the place we picked. Visited mid week after work and it was very empty and quiet. Waitress was very friendly and attentive, the group had drinks and a bunch of appetizers. We felt no pressure to hustle along and enjoyed catching up.
Really enjoyed every part of my first experience here. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was fantastic. The food was incredible. And of course the drinks were ice cold which is always nice. What made it even better was how helpful everyone was when we told them that the cool temps were going to make being on the top deck uncomfortable. We were quickly moved to the downstairs patio and the heaters were turned out. After we closed out our tickets we were allowed to mingle on the main floor patio and weren't pushed out the door like at some places. I look forward to visiting again!
1st time here we are from Topeka Ks the girls waitress are great! The place is beautiful!! Outside dining is a must have a koi pond and nice landscaping.
We debated choosing Wellman’s based on some reviews but we are grateful we did! Our service was great, the food came quick and was delicious. We will be back. My only wish is they had a kids menu!
I’ve been visiting Wellman’s for years and yet to have a bad experience. The staff excel at customer service, the food is solid and the drinks are great. If you want to experience the bar at its best go during a Hawkeye football game or basketball game. DJ plays during breaks and prizes awarded at the end of quarters.
